"Pourparlers" Collection

At the Scène de recherche, exchanges between artistic and scientific teams can take a long time, but their dissemination is fleeting. The need to leave a lasting record led to the “Pourparlers” collection, the result of a collaboration with the Paris-Saclay House of Social Sciences and Humanities.

In these volumes, a play written at our theater coexists with scientific articles in a interplay of echoes, insights, and counterpoints. These books thus constitute the living memory of the Scène de recherche. They also bear witness to its integration into the university.

Beyond serving as an archive, this collection continues our approach of bridging the arts and the sciences. Each book brings together different perspectives that form a focused lens on a world whose complexity demands multiple viewpoints. In this way, “Pourparlers” unites approaches that our era tends to separate. This represents an attempt at polymathy—another name for humanism.
