All French people
Simon Roth / Compagnie Arborescence
From public housing in Marseille to PMU betting shops in the Ardennes, via the laboratories in Orsay, Simon Roth travels across France to listen to its residents and understand their political views. Drawing on their frustrations, aspirations, and dreams, he has created a performance in the form of a citizens’ convention: ten people from diverse backgrounds share their stories, listen to one another, and seek out what connects them. On stage, their voices intertwine, brought to life by performers. Embracing all beliefs, the play reinvents theater as a space for speaking and listening. On the eve of the presidential elections, are we still a society?
