The Geniuses

Nouvelle Troupe de l'Université Paris-Saclay / Julien Avril

The Nouvelle Troupe de l’Université Paris-Saclay is making its grand return. The troupe is presenting its new production, inspired by an in-depth exploration of several of the university’s engineering departments.

Civil, mechanical, agricultural, and computer engineers transform the world we live in every day and offer us the best solutions. But are all problems worth solving?

The Nouvelle Troupe of Paris-Saclay University brings together students from across the university. From early October through March, they participate in workshops with a duo of professional directors to stage a play together.

What do we expect from an engineer in the 21st century?

The performance on Thursday, March 12, will be followed by a "Café Frappé," a roundtable discussion featuring:
- Erwan Franchon, a Ph.D. candidate in sociology at University of Strasbourg, specializing in the socialization of environmentalism within the grandes écoles
- Benoît Gabrielle, professor at AgroParisTech and vice president for "Sustainable Development" at Paris-Saclay University
Caroline Vincensini, lecturer and researcher in economics and project manager for “Ecological Transition and Sustainable Development” at ENS Paris-Saclay
