• IMPACTS - Zoé Grumberg is a historian whose work focuses on the history of Jewish people during and after the Holocaust. Jeanne Lazar is a director, actress, and writer. She is the artistic director of the theater company *Il Faut Toujours Finir Ce Qu’on a Commencé*.

What emerges from the collaboration between a theater director and a historian who share a family history marked by World War II and the Holocaust? As a researcher, Zoé Grumberg supports Jeanne Lazar’s investigation and creative process regarding the murder of her great-uncle and great-aunt in the summer of 1944. But this theatrical work also becomes source material for Zoé, who explores the transmission of wartime violence and the third generation’s appropriation of memory.
