• GENEALOGY OF A SENSITIVE LINE - Manon Gorteau is a visual artist who blends illustration and textiles. She was part of the Class of 2026 at the ARRC.
As an artist-designer, Manon Gorteau was in residence at the Borelli Center, a research collective focused on mathematics and computer science, neuroscience and biology, and the humanities and social sciences. There, Manon Gorteau graphically documented the laboratory’s activities using a graphics tablet equipped with sensors, which allowed her to explore the effect of sensorimotor constraints on the practice of drawing-reportage. On stage, in a work that blends performance and visual art, she explores how drawing translates reality while simultaneously serving as a living memory of the gesture.
• AURORE (title pending) - Aurore Evain is an author, actress, director, and theater historian. She is also the artistic director of the theater company La Subversive. This theatrical lecture is directed by Carole Thibault, an actress, director, and former director of the Théâtre des Îlets, the national drama center in Montluçon.
In a talk that’s as funny as it is punk, Aurore Evain recounts the whirlwind journey of Aurore, her alter ego and a researcher in “matrimoine” (women’s heritage). At a breakneck pace and with devilishly thorough research, she shares the results of her research, her struggles, and her despair in the face of the ceaseless erasure of female authors and creators who have been buried for centuries beneath the marble stele of the great male geniuses.
